Drops tickled down and vibrant song of the rain began, mountains were all green and trees were covered with long branches now.
It wasn’t raining then, but the roads were wet. Trucks and scooters stood at the road side, waiting for the water level to settle down.
The little sun rays that tried to come out of clouds, were falling on the white paints of the roads and it shone brightly.
Somewhere there was a jasmine tree, because the jasmine fragrance was brewing in the air and there were daffodils and lilies full on bloom, decorating the highway.
Our car was sent to repairs and it would take long for it to come back so I decided to explore the village nearby.
One old fort was visible on the mountain side and a peacock was dancing there.
Many sparrows and squirrel were out of their houses today. The sparrows made noise, and squirrels were collecting sand dunes or playing with them.
A pretty lady came out from a hut, she wore long Kundan dangles in her ear matching with the green and pink lehnga outfit she wore.
Her anklets made a beautiful rhyme rhythm and she carried green grass in her hand feeding the cows who stood outside in the cow shelter place.
She was talking with her cow, may be because she share a good bonding with them, I stopped near her hut where her husband ran a tea stall, to sip some tea.
I was sneezing*
Yes the season change took away my immunity and it was cold for the fifth time in this month.
Ginger tea was the need of time, As the tea was brewing the smell of ginger was already soothing me.
I was looking at that lady working, and then I noticed that tea vendor sent his worker to take the cows to fields for grazing.
He was a cowboy, he opened the cows and buffaloes and left their little babies there only for playing, because little cows don’t graze.
Then one by one he took all the cows outside to the fields, all the other cows and buffaloes went their way without any guide, but one cow refused to go.
I asked why is she not going ?
He said, the cow is new here, we brought it yesterday only. She is thinking that we are seprating her from her son so she is refusing to go.
He took the cow by scaring her with a stick, she came as she had no other choice.
Her little one cried, he tried to go with mpther cow, but his legs were tied with a rope.
He started weeping one side and the other side his mother weeped and tried to reach him too.
That little cow tried all to escape from rope, jumped and at last got tired and started playing with the son of the milkman.
Cows and buffaloes came back by noon, and when mother and son each other their joy had no limits.
They hugged and kissed each other, they both now loved their new place and realised that their owner does not want to harm them.
I loved this little scenary, and then my car arrived from the garage and I went ..
Clicking the memory of the place .
Travelling at Hill Station is joy, but exploring the villages, and te stories hidden inside the sand of those places is no less than a life lesson.
I moved on, as I had to shift to a new place with a positive thought in my mind that soon this place will accept me and i will accept it too like the cow did.
