punjabi Kulche in a healthy Style –
Who doesn’t love chole Kulche ? I love it very much and from childhood days after the school hours we went to Ramdeen Kaka who made yummy kulchas. It was our everyday business to visit his shop. Along with growing up we forgot the choke kulchas but we couldn’t forget the flavors and then one day while watching t.v I saw a food show in which Chef Pankaj Bhadoria was making Healthy Chole Kulchas, yes you heard it right healthy child kulchas which means no oil in cooking the khulchas, this sounded amazing to me. I watched the episode and then made the recipe on my own.
So here I am sharing how it turned out to be.
How to make PUNjabi kulche at home ?
Step 1. Take chopped onions in a plate and add salt to it. Leave it for five to ten minutes.
Later you will see the water of the onion will come out, drain the water completely by squeezing it with hands. Add chillies mixture to it.
Step 2. Mix maida and wheat flour, add baking soda, baking powder and salt to it. now prepare a dough.
Step 3. With the help of a roller make a round bred, add onion chilli mixture to it.
Step 4.Apply water on sides of bread and close it.
And then roll it again like stuffing a paratha.
Step5. Add coriander and sesame seeds from top and once again roll the bread with a light hand.
Step6. Heat a cooker, by removing its lid and keeping it opposite. To test the cooker, sprinkle few water drops on it, and if water leaves the side, the cooker is hot.
Step7. Be careful now, wear microwave glovesds and then apply water on 1 side of the bread, and hold cooker with the other hand. Add the bread on the sides of cooker and keep it again on gas stove oppositely.
Check in 2-3 minutes, Tada its ready.
Serve hot with Chole and add butter over it.
I haven’t added butter because I am opting for a healthy diet.
