Wishing Happy Women’s Day to all the ladies who work overtime from
Who is Archana ?
- She is an sketch artist, a super mom. She works for commissioned sketches and does artwork on demand and is passionate about sketching and Yoga.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.
She is a Super woman, yes this is what stricks to my brain when I read and follow her sketch updtaes and so here I am bringing up her journey of how she became a sketch artist by her own words ? The story is really very inspiring and is enough to motivate all those house wife who waste the noon hours doing nothing but sleeping, it is not that they love sleeping but because the lack the right motivation or kick to kick start their own life by bringing out the hidden talents.
Three cheers for our very own gorgeous guest – Art Archana.
Journey of Artist Archana –
She wasn’t aware that she could sketch, although her school and college drawings were good and very well appreciated, she drew for a project that was it. Along with growing up her talent was fading in routine of life.
What made her realize that she could sketch?
– The lady is very determined; she wanted to do something on her own from the last 2-3 years apart from being a house wife and a super rocking mom, She wanted something in her life that could make her feel complete in herself. Whenever she saw ladies of her life achieving something unexpected, she would look inside her heart, that yes, I can do something too of my own. She believed in her heart that “Those housewives had a different identity and I WANTED ONE IDENTITY OF MYSELF TOO”.
But the next question that rose was what should she do? She wanted to be present in her family and do something that was suitable and comfortable for both herself and her family.
Relatives suggested her to do this, Do that but no one could suggest her something that gave music to her heartstrings.
Then one fine day she was surfing on social media, she saw a person posting the picture of an eye, she thought she could sketch it too and yes, she picked up her sketchbook and found a pencil from her son and started to draw the eye.
The came out perfectly, the next day she drew the pair of the eye, later she drew a complete face with lips and the eyebrows. All this while she shared the pictures on social media, there were tons of appraisals coming from every side for her sketches, sometimes her son from family took her sketches to school to show it to teachers and principal that see, sir my mother makes wonderful drawing and the other times the continues request from friends and families to continue giving sketching a life kept her motivated.
The first time her husband saw her sketching he was in surprise and told her, kahan Chupa rakha tha itna sab kuch ?
The eye sketch was eye opening in her life, it gave her enlightenment and she knew now that she could her drawing to the next level. She says she finds joy and peacefulness in drawing.
It is like a habit to her.
Earlier she wasted her noon hours but now she spent them to sketching. Often it may happen that she gets so lost in sketching that she gets a neck pain but noting could stop her passion towards it, she takes a break and then continue sketching again. She don’t take sketching as a burden but it comes to her naturally from inside.
Her sketches started to come out as a disaster. Sketching made her more confident than earlier. Slowly, she started to earn through her sketches, it boosted up her morale and yes first salary is a feeling and first salary of a housewife based woman is more than that.
Her first sketch in person was Julia Roberts.
She sketched many of my celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Priyanka Chopra, kangana Rananut and believe me all are absolutely brilliant ones.
One day she sketched the son of Ritesh Deshmukh, he was very Pleased and replied to her instantly when he saw it. She was happy and content now that yes, she did it.
She shared her sketches on Instagram, facebook and twitter and the person whose sketch gave the lifeline to her sketching was pleased to see her sketching versatility and told her that he wanted to learn from her.
This was the best thing that could happen to her, currently she works professionally. There is no looking back in her book, she started creating slideshows of her sketches for her fans and will be sharing video too real soon on demand of her fans. The online art gallery Chhayaankan Art gallery showed interest in her sketches and ready to pay for her sketches too. She is associated in their panel as an artist. She works on demand.
And she tweeted, I am no more just a housewife, instead I am a sketch artist, the house wife tag wiped off from my life so I motivate all housewives that do not consider you less than anyone.
There is something hidden in every one of us, every cloud has a silver lining, just find your forte and in the digital world don’t waste your life, start spending your flair at the right domicile.
At present often teachers and students ask me to start my sketching classes but I have more work and less time, and classes would be time consuming so may be in future I will go for it, for now I am happy and want to thank everyone who motivated me in my sketching journey and request all the lovely ladies to read this success story, because I want to see every one of us saying their success story by the next women’s day.
